Taxi Fare Notice - Maxis

Available for view is the latest Taxi Fare Notice which will be gazetted today and will take effect from midday tomorrow, Saturday 28 February 2009.

Taxi Fare Notice - Maxi Work

It is making changes to reduce the high occupancy threshold for taxi trips from six to five passengers. This will impact on the application of the unregulated high occupancy surcharge, applied by a taxi booking company when a group of now five or more book a taxi. As in the past, this high occupancy surcharge does not apply to hail and rank work.

The revised Maximum Taxi Fares Notice (attached) to reduce the high occupancy threshold for taxis from six to five passengers will published in the Government Gazette on Friday, 27 February 2009, followed by a media release.

(Please note that this represents no change to the tariffs charged)

Regards,

Scott Rebgetz

Parking at Base
Effective immediately, drivers and operators are not to use the base for changeover of shifts and parking cars for long term use.

The carpark is for use of staff members and visitors only.

This problem has become worse of late, and we have received complaints about the lack of parking for staff and visitors to the office.  This even raises a safety concern for staff who work of a night time.

If you wish to use this area for parking and changeover, please use parking on the road.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
